We’re having a birthday bash as well for the big boss man, Davy Squall, who will be DJing for us tonight with host Lynette Redtail! We have no contest planned currently, but if we get enough folks in the club, we may go ahead and have one. Come on and tempt us into giving y’all some free lindens!
New Club Incoming: The Black Cutlass
This lovely beast has been in progress for months now, and it’s finally ready for staff and vendors!
We are looking to hire the following:
- DJs
- Hosts
- Dancers
- Bartenders
- Security*
- Management
Need some quick requirement details? Look no further:
- DJs and hosts are required to do a minimum of two and a maximum of four 2-hour sets per week. Both must be social.
- Dancers are required to do a minimum of two hours (or one set) per week and must either be competent roleplayers, or willing to learn.
- We will not be hiring floaters (DJs, hosts, etc. who only do cover sets).
- Cover sets are a must, particularly if you miss a set.
If someone covers for you, pay it forward. - Skype will be required of every employee; Second Life groups do not always send messages through.
A working smartphone or tablet is usually quite helpful for staying informed. - Communication is required of every employee.
If you cannot do a set that you are scheduled for, due to real life creeping up on you, we must know. If someone requires a cover, you must let us know whether or not you can do the task. - NO SNIPING EMPLOYEES FROM OTHER CLUBS!
This is the ultimate in bad form. If you want someone to come work with you at the Black Cutlass, this is fine…but only if we are not stealing them from another club entirely, communications are not done in another club’s nearby chat, and you do not venture into other clubs wearing your Black Cutlass tag.

Wednesday! Hump Day! Hump Day School of Rock! Join us at The Rift from 4 to 6 PM SLT (PST) for classic rock (most likely), Christmas tunes (it’s that season), and your requests. I’m thinking we’ll run the trusty (*cough*) trivia ball tonight, so you can make a few linden with your fellow Second Lifers.
If you can’t make it to the club, you can listen to the stream elsewhere (no worries! This post will be edited closer to set time to include a link to the stream).
We’re also looking to hire at The Rift! We’re looking for dependable (I cannot put enough emphasis on “dependable”) DJs, hosts, and deck walkers (security). Come on by and put in your applications. Maybe I’ll be your host some day, too.

Things have been busy and strange on all fronts, but I’m alive.

As usual, no child avatars and we recommend that you be over the age of 18 because we can bring the raunch pretty accidentally in our collective humor. Things get real weird, real fast and it is beautiful.
Tail Sale
Yeah, this thing again. We’re still offering goods and services (apparently someone is actively working on an art project for this for the winner of their auction as we speak), shoulders to lean on, warm bodies for the snuggling, even people willing to be pets for those interested in such things. I, myself, am one of the tails for sale, so if you ever wanted a good cuddle or talk session with this fluffy space hobo, now’s your chance!
The tail sale goes on through Halloween, so jump in and bid (or auction yourself) before the big day!
Rentals
These are also a thing. For those that wish to rent a parcel on Cordia under some of the coolest landlords, this is an option for you. I believe there are still two or three properties available. For more details on that, you’ll want to contact Ravin Winter or Fawkes Winter.
Now Hiring
The Rift is also currently hiring punctual, reliable hosts (like myself; basically we’re the life of the party, the chatterboxes, the jokers, the advertisers, sometimes the mediators) and DJs! I recommend that all applicants be ready and willing to step forward to take a shift in an emergency. Previous experience of some sort is recommended, but training can and will be provided as well.

Changes @ The Rift
Some things have changed for the better in the land of Second Life! I’m now working The Rift as a host whenever needed, plus whenever there is no host and I happen to be awake. That means impromptu radio parties and sometimes impromptu DJ sets!
Please, no child avatars. Not only is it not recommended, but it’s an “after dark” set. Things can get weird in the best, least child-friendly ways possible.
We also have a tail sale going on (this is a sale of everything from art, DJ lessons, party hosting, scripting, avatar commissioning, cuddling, and talking, to some good old-fashioned yiffage, yes) from now until Halloween. We need bidders and those willing to auction off their services. Come along, everyone!
Let’s get it in!
We may be coming to the end of my current set, I believe, but this will happen again tomorrow with a little luck, with or without a DJ.
But, please, never hesitate to come by and hang out even if there is no host or DJ on duty. Your patronage really is appreciated.

Tail Sale @ Coldpaw Club
So, with a little bit of luck, we’re having what Coldpaw calls a “tail sale.” Basically, you can buy a date with someone from the club. I wanna say it’ll be at around 1 PM SLT Sunday, but I’ll update this with the proper time (if it happens to be different) when we get the notification.
